OUR PRIMARY AIM is to first and foremost educate and start important conversations with the biggest and most influential parties in the Australian retail fashion industry. Clara is a sustainability strategist and designer with expertise in social and environmental impacts of the fashion and textile industry. She has ten years of experience in the space in the U.K and Europe; consulting to H&M and VF. Corporation. Clara recently completed a PhD in sustainable textile/fashion funded by MISTRA Future Fashion project. clara’s also an Associate Lecturer at UTS Design school, Sydney and Associate Researcher with the Textiles Environment Design (TED) group at University of the Arts, London and has spoken at TEDX Sydney (2016).

ABC’s War on Waste

Comedian + Journalist

One of Australia’s favourite television and radio comedian’s. Best known for being a member of satirical team The Chaser in the early 2000’s and most recently the hugely successful series ABC’s War On Waste. Following his pursuit for asking the big questions and seeking answers from behind closed doors, Reucassel has managed to change the evolution of recycling and the general consensus for waste management in Aussie households.

Prior to co-founding the Global Fashion Exchange (GFX) in 2013, serial entrepreneur Patrick co-founded boutique creative agency Intandem Creatives and is a part of Design Pavillion NYC. Following his passion for sustainable design, generating big ideas and exploring his fashionable side, Global Fashion Exchange was launched for the first time during Copenhagen Fashion Week; 1500 people swapped 5.2 tons of clothes, and, in the process, a great concept was born. GFX has grown into an international platform promoting sustainability in the fashion industry through inspiring forums, educational content and cultural events. Patrick is also a proud member for the social intelligence platform Ethical Fashion Forum.

For over 15 years Wendy has partnered with organisations across the international fashion and retail segment to review, define and improve strategies spanning production, sourcing and supply models. Gordon has been a consumer advocate for 30 years including as head of Campaigns at CHOICE, Australia’s leading consumer organization, and a Board member of Consumers International. After launching the GOY app in the Australian and American market Gordon and his co-founder Sandra Capponi, have continued to inroduce a number of educational pathways on ethical and sustainable fashion choices for consumers and brands. Currently they have around 200,00 users on the platform.
